Perry, Purchasing Supervisort� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for Detective Cars <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Miles <br /> Chevrolet to furnish two (2) 2007 Chevrolet Impala 9C 1 police pursuit vehicles. <br /> BACKGROUND: These vehicles will be used by the Police Department as detective <br /> cars. They will replace 1999 Ford Crown Victorias cun•ently in use. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The vehicles were requested by the Police <br /> Department. Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications. Both recoinmend approval <br /> of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, 424-2747. James Anderson, <br /> Police Chief, 424-2745. Both Matt and Jim will be at the council meeting to answer any <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $35,132.00 from the Equipinent Replacement Fund. <br />
