Pe y, Purchasing Supervisor�;� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for utility vehicles <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Miles <br /> Chevrolet to furnish four (4) 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV full size utility vehicles. <br /> BACKGROUND: These vehicles will be used by the Police Department for K-9 and <br /> command vehicles. They will replace 2001 Chevy Tahoe and 2004 Chevrolet Impalas <br /> currently in use. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The utility vehicles were requested by the Police <br /> Department. Fleet maintenance wrote the bid specification. Both recommend approval <br /> of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, 424-2747. James Anderson, <br /> Police Chief, 424-2745. Both Matt and Jim will be at the council meeting to answer any <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $111,952.00 from the Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
