Cochran Engineering for Design of Fulton Avenue & <br /> 32°d Street Storm Drainage Improvements, City Project 07-06 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that City Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing an agreement <br /> with Phillip W. Cochran Engineering, (PWC) to provide engineering services for the design of <br /> the Fulton Avenue & 32°a Street Storm Drainage Improvements. The proposed agreement is for <br /> a fee not to exceed $7,500. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The area around Fulton Avenue/ 32nd Street and Sinawik Park sees a fair amount of flooding <br /> during heavy rains. The area ditches have a difficult time conducting water to a drainage way <br /> located east of 32°d Street. <br /> This project is proposed to review the area drainage, provide a topographic survey of the <br /> drainage area,propose, and design storm drainage improvements for the area to relieve the <br /> flooding problems. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, Acting Director of <br /> Engineering & Infrastructure, at 424-2747 <br /> Matt Newell will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the <br /> Council on this item. <br />
