Following a panel review of the applications, a selection
committee of representative federal law enforcement agencies submitted its recommendations
for funding.
It is my pleasure to inform you that the proposal submitted by the Decatur Police
Department to implement a team of officers to reduce violent crime in Decatur was selected to
receive funding in the amount of$70,759.50. The proposal represents a well-developed
initiative to address the serious violent crime issues confronting the Decatur community.
My office and our law enforcement agency partners are committed to doing whatever we
can to support this cooperative effort.
To complete the appropriate paperwork to initiate this proposal, please contact Maureen
Brennan at the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority at (312) 793-1302.
V-y truly yours,
 ti
Rod e A.
