E.,Acting Director of Engineering & Infrastructure <br /> SUBJECT: Water Service Agreement for 2980 Forest Crest Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recominended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing a <br /> Water Service Agreement between the City of Decatur and property owner for 2909 Forest Crest <br /> Road. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> In the spring of 2002 the City extended a 12 inch water main down Taylorville Road(Illinois Route <br /> 48) and Forest Crest Drive as part of a phased approach toward creating a water main <br /> interconnection on the south side of the City between Route 48 and Route 51. As is typical with <br /> these water main extensions that go beyond the City limits, residents will periodically request <br /> permission to service their properties. To service properties outside the City, a Water Service <br /> Agreement must be entered into between the City and the property owners. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this resolution <br /> and agreement. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, Acting Director of Engineering & Infrastructure, <br /> at 424-2747 <br /> Matt Newell will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the <br /> Council on this item. <br />
