Perry, Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for twin disc clutch <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Great <br /> Lakes Power to furnish one (1) 2006 twin disc clutch. <br /> BACKGROUND: The twin disc clutch will be used by the Lake Division. It will be a <br /> replacement clutch, should one be needed for the cutter head dredge and booster pumps 1 <br /> and 2. To date, we have had to repair all of the existing twin disc clutches in use on the <br /> equipment. The extra clutch will allow for one to be taken out and put in the same day to <br /> avoid downtime. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Water Management requested the twin disc <br /> clutch. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Water Management Director 424-2863. <br /> Keith will be at the city council meeting to answer any questions the council may have <br /> about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $10,708.30 from the Water Management Fund. <br />
