R2006-143 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING SUPPORT <br /> ILLINOIS MAIN STREET COMMUNITY <br /> DOWNTOWN DECATUR COUNCIL <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution R2006-76, adopted by the City Council on June 5, <br /> 2006, the Decatur City Council provided their support of the application by the <br /> Downtown Decatur Council to become an official Illinois Main Street Community <br /> organization; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur City Council realizes that designation as an Illinois Main <br /> Street Community will provide certain benefits to Downtown businesses, investors and <br /> developers and will further stimulate the economic revitalization of the Central Business <br /> District. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS; <br /> Section 1.
