Alexander, Director of Water Management � <br /> SUBJECT: Water System Improvements Project- Phase II <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached resolution approving an Engineering Services Agreement for Water <br /> System Improvements - Phase II with Strand Associates for a lump sum of$115,000. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> This is the second phase of a three phase improvement project that began in 2004. The first <br /> phase was completed earlier this year. The second phase consists of additional upgrades to the <br /> South Water Treatment Plant SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system, <br /> which is the most effective way to continue improving our drinking water quality by automating <br /> our water treatment processes, and to comply with State mandated process reporting.
