Perry, Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for tree and bush removal <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Walker's Tree <br /> Caze, Inc. to furnish herbicide application and tree and bush removal along Lost Bridge Road <br /> embankment adjacent to and crossing Lake Decatur. <br /> BACKGROUND: This project is being done for landscape maintenance of the shoreline. In <br /> addition, from a safety standpoint, it will open the view of traffic on the road. Similar projects <br /> have been done previously on Route 36 bridge and William Street bridge. <br /> The low bidder has provided the necessary bonding requirement for this project. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Lake Division requested the work and wrote the <br /> specifications. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Water Management Director 424-2863. Joe Nihiser, <br /> Lake Supervisor 424-2837. Keith will be at the meeting to answer any questions the council may <br /> have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $29,780 Bush and Tree Removal <br /> $ 4,800 Herbicide Application <br /> $34,580 from Water Lake Capital Fund <br />
