Perry, Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Purchase of outboaxd motors <br />� SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to BRP US, Inc. <br /> to fumish two (2) E2000DHLSD 200 horsepower, 20" shaft, E-TEC high output outboard <br /> motars. ' <br /> BACKGROUND: The outboard motors will be used by the Lake Division. They will replace 'I <br /> 2000 and 2002 Evinrude motors currently in service. <br /> This is a sole source purchase. The department has standardized with BRP motors for several <br /> years. This allows for standardization of parts. In addition, the service center for BRP motors is <br /> local (Mt. Zion), as compared to having to take them out of town to have them serviced. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Lake Division requested the motors. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Water Management Director, 424-2863. Joe <br /> Nihiser, Lake Supervisor, 424-2837. Keith will be at the meeting to answer any questions the <br /> council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $10,723.60 each or $21,447.20 total for 2 motors from the Water Management <br /> Fund. <br />
