Perry, Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Roofing Bids for South Water Treatment Plant <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to King Lar, Inc. <br /> to furnish a SBS Firestone modified bitumen roof for the South Water Treatment Plant. <br /> BACKGROUND: This roof will replace the original roof to the South Water Treatment Plant <br /> when it was built in 1988. Recently,there have been numerous leaks over some instrumentation <br /> devices. The low bidder has provided the City with the necessary bonding requirement. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The roof was requested by Water Production. Black & <br /> Veatch wrote the bid specifications. All recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Water Management Director at 428-2833. Rob <br /> Shirley, Water Production Manager at 424-2866. Keith will be at the council meeting to answer <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. li <br /> BUDGET: $396,776 from the Water Fund. ' I <br />
