Anderson Plaza, Decatur, IL 62523-1196, hereinafter referred to as the CLIENT. <br /> The Scope of Services to be provided under this agreement is as follows: <br /> SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> The scope of professional services will be to develop bidding and construction documents for the <br /> exterior restoration of the Transfer House, assist in bidding the work, and limited construction <br /> administration services. , <br /> Work to be included in the renovation is to include: <br /> • Reroof work at both the cupola and lower bell cast eave roof, including <br /> • Replacement soffit at bell cast eaves. <br /> • Replacement fascia. <br /> • Replacement gutters and downspouts. <br /> • Replacement of exterior soffit/fascia light fixtures and rewiring exterior electrical distribution to a <br /> code-compliant, concealed routing. <br /> • Replacement of existing flagpole with decorative element. <br /> • Restoration or replacement of the existing roof ladder at the cupola. <br /> • Replacement of the roof ladder at the lower roof to match historic photos of this ladder. <br /> • Masonry restoration work including <br /> • General tuckpointing. <br /> • Restoration of damaged stone, including stone benches. <br /> • Stone patching at former fastener locations. <br /> • Masonry and stone cleaning. <br /> • Exterior wood restoration —scrape, prime and repaint exposed exterior woodwork. It is possible <br /> that the existing paint contains lead, which would require special handling of the wood preparation <br /> process. The City should hire an abatement professional to determine if lead is present. If the <br /> paint does contain lead, the abatement professional should handle the paint removal portion of the <br /> work. <br /> • Re-open existing abandoned in place doors. Replace existing doors and windows with new energy <br /> efficient units to match historic context. <br /> � Selective demolition of interior partitions and ceiling. There will be no new work on the interior. The <br /> existing heating and air-conditioning unit is to remain. As described above for exterior wood <br /> restoration, the City should hire an abatement contractor to determine if there is lead present in the <br /> paint.
