39 Crossing Healthcare,the chief of police issued a 90day order establishing the intersection as a four <br /> 40 way stop while the traffic could be studied to determine the appropriate level of traffic control at <br /> 41 the intersection. City performed traffic counts found that traffic volumes were not high enough to <br /> 42 warrant a four way stop,but a two way stop facing the minor street was determined to be more <br /> 43 appropriate. A"Cross Traffic Does Not Stop"will be placed below each sign to notify motorist <br /> 44 that it is just a two way stop. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 City staff recommends stop signs be installed facing King Street. Warren Street carries a <br /> 47 higher volume of traffic making King Street the minor street <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 John Ninneman motioned to move forward with the installation of stop signs facing King Street. <br /> 51 � Seconded by Wick Anderson, and on call of the roll, Commission Members Anderson, <br /> 52 Ninneman, Meador, Getz, Stickle and Enyart voted aye. The chairman declared the motion <br /> 53 carried. <br /> 54 <br /> 55 <br /> 56 Item#2 Request for handicap parking at 1087 West King Street. <br />� 57 <br /> ' nt of 1087 West Kin Street re uestin a handica arking <br /> 58 City staff was contacted by the reside g q g P P <br /> 59 stall be placed in front of his residence. When contacted the resident provided proof of inedical <br /> 60 form and handicap permit. The property does not have a driveway off of the street requiring the <br /> 61 resident to either park on the street or behind his house off of the alley. There is no paved <br /> 62 surface behind the house to park the vehicle. Resident prefers to park on the street in front of his <br /> 63 house. Parking is currently allowed on the south side of the street. Staff recommends approval. <br /> 64 <br /> 65 � <br /> 66 Wick Anderson motioned to move forward with the request for handicap parking at 1087 West i <br /> 67 King Street. Seconded by John Ninneman, and on call of the roll, Commission Members I <br /> 68 Anderson,Ninneman, Meador, Getz, Stickle, and Enyart voted aye.
