Newell, P.E., City Engineerh�� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinances Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersections of <br /> Marietta Street and Dunham Street, Poole Street and Division Street, College <br /> Street and Center Street, William Street and Witt Street, William Street and <br /> Calhoun Street, William Street and 17�h Street, and Charles Street and <br /> Locust Street - <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission recommends the approval of the attached Ordinances <br /> authorizing the installation of stop signs at the subject intersections. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the July 12, 2005, meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved <br /> a request from City staff recommending the installation of stop signs at the intersections of <br /> Marietta Street and Dunham Street, Poole Street and Division Street, College Street and Center <br /> Street, William Street and Witt Street, William Street and Calhoun Street, William Street and <br /> 17`h Street, and Charles Street and Locust Street. <br /> The stop signs have been requested as a result of an accident review performed by City <br /> Engineering. The subject intersections are currently experiencing high accident rates. <br /> POTENTIA.L OBJECTION; No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br />
