COUNCIL COMMUNICATION FORM <br /> Economic&Urban Development Department Memorandum <br /> #OS-078 <br /> DATE: April 14, 2005 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Osborne and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve G ity Manager r� <br /> Dane Bra , ssistant City Manager� <br /> Randy Johner, Construction Inspecti ns Man e� <br /> SUBJECT: Chapter 67 Building Code <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: The Construction Inspections Division would <br /> like to recommend changing the Section 9(i) of this code relating to fees for swimming <br /> pools by deleting the $25 fee for"Above ground pool but not including associated <br /> decks". <br /> BACKGROUND: Because of changes made last year to Chapter 69 Electrical Code <br /> involving pools, it has become evident that all pools regardless of the situation need to <br /> have their electrical connections inspected. Therefore, it is not necessary to offer a fee <br /> for a pool permit that does not include electric.
