. .' * <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2005-36 <br /> ORDINANGE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 48-NUISANCES- <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 14 of Chapter 48 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended so that as so modified and amended said <br /> Section 14 shall provide as follows: <br /> 14. RAT HARBORS. The storing, placing, leaving or permitting to remain of <br /> ashes, refuse, old bricks, concrete, branches, brush, trash or the storing, placing <br /> leaving or permitting to remain of any materials which may harbor rats, in any <br /> residential, office or commercial zone of the City as established by the Zoning <br /> Ordinance of the City of Decatur is hereby declared to be a nuisance. Firewood <br /> stored on the exterior of any structure shall be cut to nominal length (18" - 24") <br /> and stacked a minimum of 12"above grade. <br /> Section 2.
