Mille ,AICP, Senior Planner�-�1�r1 <br /> Suzan Stickle, Senior Planner�S <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly lrnown as 960 North Moffet Lane <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the <br /> City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately one (1) acre, the property is developed with a single <br /> family residence. Annexation is requested for connection to City utilities. The property to the north is <br /> zoned R-1, Single Family Residence District; property to the south and west is zoned R-1, Single Family <br /> Residence District; property to the north and east is in the County; when annexed, the area will come into <br /> the city as R-1, Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in <br /> question: <br /> 1. The parcel contains a single family residence. <br /> 2. City water is available at Moffet Lane. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is six and six-tenths (6.6) <br /> minutes. <br /> 5. Moffet Lane is seal treated and maintained by the City of Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan Stickle at 424-2790 or at <br /> smstickle((iu�decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $428.11 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($218.79) motar fuel ($108.94) and state income <br /> taxes($100.38) from the property. <br />
