Miller, AICP, Senior Planner+F°�Y�. <br /> Suzan Stickle, Senior Planner� <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly lmown as 1836 Ferris Drive <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROiJND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the <br /> City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 0.68 acres, the property is developed with a single family <br /> residence. Annexation is requested for connection to City utilities. The property to the north is zoned R- <br /> 3, Single Family Residence District; property to the south, east and west is in the County; when annexed, <br /> the area will come into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence District. The following information is <br /> relevant to the area in question: <br /> 1. The parcel contains a single family residence. <br /> 2. City water is available at Ferris Drive. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is seven(7)minutes. <br /> 5. Ferris Drive is seal treated and maintained by the City of Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan Stickle at 424-2790 or at <br /> smstickle(�a,decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $547.39 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($338.07) motor fuel ($108.94) and state income <br /> taxes($100.38) from the property. <br />
