� <br /> � w <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2005-02 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> -CHAPTER 34 -TRAFFIC - <br /> - CHAPTER 73 -OFFENSES - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, modified and amended by deleting Section 77 therefrom, and renumbering the <br /> remaining section. <br /> Section 2. That Chapter 73 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, modified and amended by inserting a new Section 21, and renumbering the <br /> remaining sections. Said Section 21 shall provide as follows: <br /> 21. PAYMENT OF FINES AND FEES. Settlement of fines and <br /> payment of fees shall be in the form of United States currency, money order or <br /> check, which payment shall be made to the Finance Department of the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois, or a private collection enterprise designated in writing by the <br /> Director of the Finance Department to collect unpaid fines and fees. It shall be <br /> unlawful to pay, or attempt to pay, in any other manner or to make payment of <br /> such unreasonable manner as to alarm, disturb, harass, endanger or injure or <br /> attempt to alarn�, disturb, harass, endanger or injure any City employee or <br /> employee of a private collection enterprise lawfully engaged in the collection of <br /> unpaid fines and fees. <br />
