Mo and, Corporation Counsel
RE: Repealing Decatur Foursquare Church Annexation Ordinance
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval.
BACKGROUND: The attached Ordinance will repeal Ordinance No. 2004-53, passed
by Council on July 6, 2004 annexing land owned by Decatur Foursquare Church. It
was later discovered that the legal description of the property in the publication and
ordinance contained an error. Subsequently the Council passed an ordinance, with a
corrected legal description, annexing the property into the City. This ordinance simply
repeals the first annexation ordinance with the incorrect legal description.
POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None
STAFF REFERENCE: Wendy L. Morthland, Corporation Counsel, 424-2807
Dane Bragg, Assistant City Manager of Economic & Urban
Development, 424-2727
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None
WLM:ps
cc: Steven G. Jones
Amy Waks
