Bra AICP,Assistant City Manager�''����� <br /> Kathy J.Mille ,AICP, Senior Planner�"`Y'� <br /> Suzan Stickle, Planner f�S <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly lrnown as 545 East Grove Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would ', <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as ' <br /> presented. , <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the II <br /> City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 0.82 acres, the property is developed with a single family � <br /> residence. Annexation is requested for connection to City utilities. The property to the north and south is , <br /> zoned R-1, Single Family Residence District; property to the east and west is in the County; when <br /> annexed, the area will come into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence District. The following <br /> information is relevant to the area in question: <br /> 1. The parcel contains a single family residence. <br /> 2. City water is available at East Grove Road. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. <br /> 4. The average fire response time is six and eight tenths (6.8)minutes. South Wheatland is the Fire <br /> Protection District. <br /> 5. East Grove Road is asphalt and is maintained by the City of Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan Stickle at 424-2781 or at <br /> smstickle(a�decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $498.72 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($271.61) motar fuel ($125.38) and state income <br /> taxes ($101.73)from the property. <br />
