Mil r,AICP, Senior Planner�c�►�w <br /> Suzan Stick e,Planner�"+� <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as The Reserve Subdivision <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the , <br /> City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 14.1 acres, the property is unimproved. Annexation is ', <br /> requested for connection to City utilities. The property to the north, south and west is in the County; Lake <br /> Decatur is to the east; when annexed, the area will come into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence <br /> District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: <br /> 1. The parcel is currently vacant. <br /> 2. City water is available on the west side of South Shores Drive. <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is available on the west side of South Shores Drive. <br /> 4. The average fire response time is eight and four tenths(8.4)minutes. South Wheatland is the Fire <br /> Protection District. <br /> 5. Reserve Way is under construction and will be a private road. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan Stickle at 424-2781 or at <br /> smstickle(a�decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $1,947.97 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($1,720.86) motor fuel ($125.38) and state income <br /> taxes ($101 J3) from the undeveloped property. <br />
