ORDINANCE NO. 2004-57 ORDINANCE APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY TREASURER Whereas, Beth B. Couter was appointed City Treasurer for a term commencing May 1, 2003, and ending Apri130, 2007; and, Whereas, Ms. Couter has submitted her resignation from said office, said resignation effective June 28, 2004; and, Whereas, Mayor Paul Osborne has requested this Council to assent to and approve the appointment of Ron Neufeld as City Treasurer for the remainder of Ms. Couter's unexpired term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the request for approval of appointment by the Mayor of Ron Neufeld as City Treasurer be received and placed on file. Section 2. That said request be, and the same is hereby, approved, and said person be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to be appointed to said respective of�ice for the term commencing June 28, 2004, and continuing to Apri130, 2007, or until his respective successor is appointed and qualified. Section 3. That the existing provisions of applicable ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, to the extent of such conflicts be, and the same are hereby modified to conform with the provisions hereof, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
