Staff
recommends the approval of this change order.
BACKGROUND:
This project is designed to improve the concrete streets in the Country Manor Estates subdivision on
the City's east side as shown on the enclosed drawing. This work will include the removal and
replacement of the existing concrete pavement with a new concrete pavement over a stabilized sub-
grade. The project includes the removal and replacement of various sections of deteriorated curb and
gutter sections.
Staff inet with many residents of the neighborhood during a public open house on June 7, 2005. All of
the residents were very receptive to street construction proposed for the neighborhood and its traffic
disruption. Many residents at the open house preferred to have the street replaced with concrete rather
than with asphalt.
The project plans and specifications were prepared by Engineering Division staff.
