Item Coversheet Page 1 of 2 <br /> � <br /> Financial Management <br /> DATE: 12/15/2015 <br /> MEMO: Letter to the Decatur City Council Financial Management Departtment#2015-24 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason,City Manager <br /> Gregg D.Zientara,City Treasurer&Director of Finance <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Appropriating Additional Funds for Certain Deparhnental and Civil City Service <br /> Operations in Fiscal Year Ending December 31,2015 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> City Council passed the Annual Appropriation Ordinance 2015-10 on March 16,2015 for the purpose of defraying the expenses of <br /> several departments and funds of the City of Decatur for the fiscal year beginning January 1,2015 and ending December 31,2015. <br /> It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services <br /> to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City Council adopted Ordinance 2015-10. <br /> Fund Amount Purpose <br /> 23 Eastgate TIF 40,000 Developer payment greater than <br /> planned <br /> 28 Pines TIF 3,000 Developer payment greater than <br /> planned <br /> 25 Drug Enforcement 200,000 Spend down of cash balance funding <br /> police capital equipment purchases <br /> 26 DUI 15,000 Spend down of cash balance funding <br /> police capital equipment purchases <br /> 36 Municipal Band 12,000 Spend down of private donation funds <br /> 49 Fire Capital 17,000 Unforeseen facility repair& <br /> maintenance <br /> Total 287,000 <br /> The additional appropriations requested are within the cash position balances of each fund and present no adverse impact on overall <br /> City operations and fund balance positions. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this ordinance request. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> No input from other sources. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Tim Gleason,City Manager Gregg D.Zientara,City Treasurer&Director of Finance <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> https:Udecatur.novusagenda.com/AgendaWeb/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=386 12/21/2015 <br />
