RESOLUTION NO. R2005-51 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SELECTION OF A SITE <br /> FOR THE MACON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL FACILITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur adopted the original resolution for the creation of the <br /> Decatur Public Building Commission, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur Public Building Commission on April 7, 2005 adopted an <br /> ordinance selecting, locating and designating the following described property as the site whereon <br /> the renovation of the building on the property should be affected for the purpose of serving as the <br /> Animal Control Facility of Macon County: <br /> Lot Two (2) of Northeast Business and Industrial Complex First Addition as per <br /> Plat recorded in Book 1575 Page 228 of the records in the Recorder's Office of <br /> Macon County, Illinois, property commonly known as 2820 Parkway Drive, <br /> Decatur, Illinois; and, ' <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Building Commission Act provides that the site selected by a I <br /> public building commission for the erection, alteration or improvement of a building for use by a , <br /> governmental agency in the furnishing of essential governmental health, safety and welfare j <br /> services, is subject to approval by a majority of the members of the governing body of the county I, <br /> seat or by a majority of the members of the governing body of any municipality with 3,000 or I <br /> more inhabitants which adopted the original resolution for the creation of a public building <br /> commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. The recitals contained in the preambles to this Resolution are full, true and <br /> correct and the same are incorporated in to this Resolution by reference. <br />
