<br /> O P T I O N
<br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
<br /> That we the undersigned, successors and assigns, (herein
<br /> designated "Owner (s) ") , in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred
<br /> Dollars ($ 500. 00) , receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do
<br /> hereby grant unto City of Decatur, a Municipal Corporation, with
<br /> offices at Gary Anderson Plaza, Decatur, IL. , 62523 (herein designated
<br /> "Purchaser") , its successors and assigns, the option and right to
<br /> purchase, within six (6) months from the date hereof, for the price
<br /> of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($ 60, 000. 00) , a certain parcel of land �
<br /> owned by us (me) situated in Macon County, Illinois, generally
<br /> described as follows:
<br /> Three acres (3.0) of land generally described as the North ,
<br /> 361 feet of the East 361 feet of the Southeast Quarter of �,
<br /> the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 16 North, ��
<br /> Range 2 East of the 3rd PM, Macon County, Illinois, except
<br /> the right of way of the public road extending along the East
<br /> side of said Quarter Quarter section, the exact description
<br /> will be made by future survey, and said survey to be paid
<br /> for by the Purchaser.
<br /> Owners do hereby further grant unto said Purchaser, its agents,
<br /> successors and assigns the right and privilege to enter upon said
<br /> land during the term of this option for the purpose of surveying and
<br /> soil testing on the tract herein described.
<br /> And we hereby agree that if, within the time above specified,
<br /> the said Purchaser, its successors or assigns, shall declare its or
<br /> their intention to exercise the said option or right to purchase the
<br /> said land, it or they shall be allowed the further period of 30 days
<br /> from the time of such declaration within which to examine the title
<br /> and re are the deed for said land; and we further covenant and

<br /> agree that we or our heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns,
<br />� shall and will at any time whenever requested, within the said
<br /> further period, and upon the payment of the balance of said purchase
<br /> money (of which the said sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) shall
<br /> be considered as paid on account) , execute and deliver to the said
<br /> Purchaser its successors or assigns, a good and sufficient Warranty
<br /> Deed for the said land in fee simple; the said title to be good and
<br /> marketable, and satisfactory to the said Purchaser, its successors
<br /> or assigns, and the said land to be clear of all liens and
<br /> encumbrances, except the general taxes for the year 2005, payable in
<br /> the year 2006, which shall be prorated to date of closing.
