Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�'� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for dump truck <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Prairie <br /> International to furnish two (2) 2005 International 7400 single axle dump truck chassis with <br /> body, plow and spreader for$168,224. <br /> BACKGROUND: Replaces 1997 International dump trucks currently in service. The old units <br /> will be traded to Prairie International once the new trucks are received. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Trucks were requested by Street Division. Fleet <br /> Maintenance wrote the bid specifications. All recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Phil Wilhelm, MSC Manager 875-4820, Deborah M. Perry, Purchasing <br /> Supervisor 424-2762. Tom Serfass will be at the city council meeting to answer questions the <br /> council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $168,224 from Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
