. , <br /> AGREEMENT FOR DESIGN ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> ML KING WATER MAIN <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made at Decatur,Illinois,this 18`h day of October,2004,by and between the <br /> City of Decatur, hereinafter referred to as the "OWNER" and Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski & <br /> Associates,Inc., 1670 South Taylorville Road,Decatur,Illinois 62521,hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "ENGINEER," WITNESSETH: <br /> The OWNER proposes to engage the ENGINEER to provide professional engineering services for <br /> the preparation of construction plans and specifications for the PROJECT. The PROJECT is to <br /> be known as the ML KING WATER MAIN. The PROJECT shall consist of three sections of <br /> water transmission mains. They are a 30 inch water main extending from the South Water Treatment <br /> Plant and extending north to Garfield Avenue, with the exception of the area located within the <br /> Wabash Crossing housing development,a 16 inch water main extending east from the 30 inch main <br /> at Garfield and connecting to the Garfield Water Tower, and a 16 inch water main extending west <br /> from the 30 inch main at Division Street and connecting to the Division Street Water Tower. <br /> THEREFORE,In Consideration of these premises and the mutual covenants of the above described <br /> PROJECT: <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1. Project Engineering Services - To perform or be responsible for the performance of the <br /> following professional engineering services for the OWNER in connection with the design <br /> of the proposed projects hereinbefore described: <br /> a. Make such detailed surveys as are necessary for the preparation of detailed <br /> construction plans. <br /> b. Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications in such a manner as to <br /> permit the OWNER to obtain construction bid prices for the above described <br /> PROJECT. <br /> c. Prepare proposal forms, notice to bidders, and the Contract Documents. <br /> d. Prepare estimate of project construction cost based on final plans and documents. <br /> e. Furnish copies of the Contract Documents consisting of Construction Agreement <br /> Fortns, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Detailed Construction Plans and <br /> Specifications for review by the Owner,and for submission to permitting authorities. <br /> f. Incorporate OWNER's review comments into the final set oF contract documents. <br /> BGM 04-100 1 <br />
