Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�l.F <br /> SUBJECT: Anti-Icing Sprayer Bid <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Koenig Body <br /> and Equipment, Inc. to furnish one (1) Varitech AI1850-Hyd-2L anti-icing sprayer system. <br /> BACKGROUND: This equipment does not replace any currently in use. The anti-icing sprayer <br /> system is used in conjunction with the salt brine production system and storage tank. The <br /> anti-icing sprayer system will actually spray the salt brine onto the pavement. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: MSC Manager requested the equipment and wrote the <br /> specifications. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Steve Swanson, Engineering and Infrastructure Director 424-2747, <br /> Phil Wilhelm, MSC Manager 875-4820. Dick Borders will be at the council meeting to answer <br /> any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $8992 from the Capital Budget. <br />
