Love, eighborhood Programs Manager `��/�c�- � <br /> U <br /> SUBJECT: Title V Delinquency Prevention Program grant <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution to enter into an agreement for the fiscal <br /> year July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 for the Title V Delinquency Prevention Program grant. <br />, The City has an agreement with Project Success for the use of the grant funds in accordance with <br /> guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS). <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Project Success submitted a successful application for funding through the Title V Delinquency <br /> Prevention Program grant, funded by DHS. The City of Decatur is the designated unit of local <br /> government in the grant application. The grant will provide approximately $60,000 a year for a <br /> total of up to $180,000 over three years. Project Success will be required to provide <br /> approximately $30,000 in matching funds for the grant. There has not, nor will there be in the <br /> future, any commitment of funds from the City of Decatur for this grant. Additional program <br /> information is attached. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: <br /> City staff is not aware of any objections to this grant agreement. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Project Success staff, Illinois Deparirnent of Human Services staff, Juvenile Justice Commission. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> If the City Council members have any questions, they may contact Linda Love, Neighborhood <br /> Programs Manager at 424-2777, or e-mail ljlove@decaturnet.org.
