Nooden, P.E.,Assistant City Engineer , ' ,�,�' SUBJECT: Water Main Extension Heritage Road, City Project 2003-25 SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution awarding the contract for Water Main Extension Heritage Road, City Project 2003-25, to Bodine Services, Inc., as the lowest, responsible bidder in the amount of $253,571.75, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the contract, and the City Clerk to attest. BACKGROUND: I City project 2003-25, Water Main Extension Heritage Road, consists of the installation of new water mains and appurtenances to complete a looped system from existing water mains presently terminating at Forrest Crest Road and Taylor Road. In addition to facilitating accessibility to the , City's water distribution system for local residents and future development, the extension will , improve water quality and flow characteristics of the system. The project plans and specifications were prepared by City Engineering staff. The project was advertised March 10, 2004, and bids were opened on March 29, 2004. The results for the letting are as follows: Compared to Engineer's Est.
