Re: Proposal for Survey Work to Support Dredging of Basin 6
City Project No. 9956
section. All work will be performed using GPS survey equipment and we
will provide a boat to perform this work. This information will be used to
generate the existing bottom elevation of Lake Decatur to be input into the
WINOPS system.
• We will locate approximately 37 duck blinds with GPS equipment to
document the existing locations of these blinds. This information will be
used to reset blinds when it is necessary to remove and reset them during
the dredging operations. ',
• At the end of the field operations, we will download this information into
the office server.
Hours: 188
Cost: $ 15,583
3. Office Work
• We will set up state plane coordinates for the horizontal control of the
work in Basin 6.
• We will download, study and evaluate the WINOPS software purchased
with the dredge to insure proper installation of all gathered field
information into WINOPS.
• We will format the survey information into an x,y,z format compatible
with WINOPS software.
• We will develop proposed dredging templates at each cross section for the
nished bottom of Basin 6 in order for the City to better manage the
volume of dredged material to be removed from Lake Decatur and stored
in the Sedimentation Basin. These templates will be designed to allow for
a reasonable hydraulic grade of the basin. This will provide for an
efcient hydraulic shape of the basin, which will minimize the rate of
future sedimentation and provide for a consistent water depth to help
support recreational use.
We will provide QA/QC of all documents, upload the developed
information into WINOPS and deliver hard copies as well as a CD of all
data to the City of Decatur.
Hours: 99
Cost: $ 7,455
