Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for Roof Replacement-Fire Station#2 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Top Quality <br /> Roofing to furnish one (1) Firestone roof system replacement with a 20 year manufacturer <br /> warranty for Fire Station#2located at 2707 E. William Street. <br /> BACKGROUND: This roof system will replace the original roof that was installed when the <br /> station was built in 1975. The low bidder has submitted the necessary bonding requirements for <br /> this project. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The roof replacement was requested by the Fire <br /> Department and they wrote the bid specifications. They recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Les Albert, Fire Chief 424-2811 and Mark Hansen, Deputy Fire Chief, <br /> 424-2811 will be at the council meeting to answer any questions the council may have about this <br /> purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $20,700 from Public Works capital budget. <br />
