Main
An item on the agenda for the meeting of February 2, 2004, is a resolution authorizing action
regarding the removal of a condemned house located at 1262 E. Main. This house has been
eensively damaged by fire and is in a dangerous condition. The close proximity to the adjacent
residential structure poses a danger to both the property and people who reside there. The claim
that the structure is unsafe has been confirmed by structural engineers who are in agreement the
structure needs to be demolished.
Bids were solicited from local demolition contractors to demolish the structure after the asbestos i
has been removed from the structure. The low bid was submitted by Anderson Backhoe for ',
$9,962.00, which includes both the asbestos abatement and the demolition. II
