RESOLUTION NO. R2004-07 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZI1vG AGREEMENT STATE OF ILLINOIS PRAIRIE AVENUE & 22ND STREET TRAFFIC SIGNALS IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has entered into Agreement JN-504002 with the State of Illinois for the improvements of traffic signals at the intersection of East Prairie Avenue and North 22nd Street in the City, known as State Section(56CS)N; and WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned Agreement, it is necessary for the City of Decatur to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost of said improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Seven thousand nine hundred fifty and 00/00 Dollars ($7,950.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, from any money now or hereinafter allotted to the City to pay for its share of the cost of this improvement as described in the Agreement. Section 2. That upon award of the contract for this improvement, the City will pay the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois in a lump sum from any funds allotted to the City, an amount equal to 95% of its obligation incurred under this Agreement, and will pay to the said Department the remainder of the obligation (including any non-participation costs of FAP projects) in a lump sum, upon completion of the project based upon final costs. Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to sign, seal and attest said agreements on behalf of the City.
