Alexander, Director of Water Management � <br /> SUBJECT: Corley Landfill Contract far Environmental Services <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing a contract with Kelron Environmental to <br /> install seven bladder pumps at the Corley Landfill for a cost not to exceed $10,856.68. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City owns and maintains a parcel of land commonly know as the Corley Landfill, which is <br /> located near the northwest corner of U.S Route 51 South and South Side Drive, adjacent to the <br /> former Corley Western Wear retail store. The site is an Illinois Environmental Protection <br /> Agency approved "closed landfill," which requires quarterly groundwater sampling and testing <br /> through 2010. In order to more accurately and efficiently sample the groundwater, it is proposed <br /> that seven bladder pumps be installed in monitoring wells located at the site.
