. � <br /> IDOT has asked for City Council authorizations to cover 2002, 2003 and upcoming 2004. In <br />' recent years, the City has generally budgeted approximately $350,000.00 per year in MFT funds <br /> to reimburse the General Fund for expenses related to the operation and maintenance of the <br /> City's traffic signals. This funding covers the costs of two City Electricians, their vehicles, <br /> materials and electricity costs. IDOT reimburses the City's MFT fund for a portion of the traffic <br /> signal maintenance work completed on traffic signals located on State highways in the City. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to these resolutions. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATION: <br /> The proposed resolution authorizes the City to expend up to $350,000.00 per year from the <br /> Motor Fuel Tax Fund for general traffic signal maintenance work for 2002, 2003 and 2004.
