5. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT WEST END SURVEY PART III (FY 2004) <br /> The consultant andlor consulting team will complete an intensive survey for portions of the West <br /> End Neighborhood which has akeady been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as <br /> the West End National Register District. The boundaries of the area are the alley north of West <br /> Decatur Street, South Fairview Avenue, West Sunset Avenue and South Dennis Avenue. The <br /> proposed survey area contains approximately 560 structures (approximately 200 aze garages or <br /> utility structures) with buildings ranging in date from 1900 to 1952. Contributing and <br /> noncontributing structures in the proposed survey area have been identified and a map is <br /> included. The axea is residential with a few scattered vacant lots. Architectural styles within the <br /> historic area include Queen Anne, Shingle Style, Prairie, Colonial Revival English Revival, <br /> Craftsman, Georgian Revival and International. Also represented in the area are Bungalow, Four <br /> Square, Ranch and Gable Front. <br /> The survey form for each building shall contain information regarding the building description,= :� <br /> approximate construction date, any physical changes, historical information, as well as the� <br /> National Register designation. The historic context of the area will be reviewed and updates�as - <br /> necessary. <br /> Approximately 535 West End properties have previously been surveyed through intensive <br /> surveys completed in 1994 and 1998; the Illinois Urban Architectural and Historical Survey <br />� forms are available along with the completion report for each survey. <br />
