5. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT WEST END SURVEY PART III (FY 2004) The consultant andlor consulting team will complete an intensive survey for portions of the West End Neighborhood which has akeady been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the West End National Register District. The boundaries of the area are the alley north of West Decatur Street, South Fairview Avenue, West Sunset Avenue and South Dennis Avenue. The proposed survey area contains approximately 560 structures (approximately 200 aze garages or utility structures) with buildings ranging in date from 1900 to 1952. Contributing and noncontributing structures in the proposed survey area have been identified and a map is included. The axea is residential with a few scattered vacant lots. Architectural styles within the historic area include Queen Anne, Shingle Style, Prairie, Colonial Revival English Revival, Craftsman, Georgian Revival and International. Also represented in the area are Bungalow, Four Square, Ranch and Gable Front. The survey form for each building shall contain information regarding the building description,= :� approximate construction date, any physical changes, historical information, as well as the� National Register designation. The historic context of the area will be reviewed and updates�as - necessary. Approximately 535 West End properties have previously been surveyed through intensive surveys completed in 1994 and 1998; the Illinois Urban Architectural and Historical Survey � forms are available along with the completion report for each survey.
