The City of Decatur, Illinois, and its officers, employees and agents shall be listed on ENGINEER'S <br /> policies of insurance as additional insureds. <br /> The insurance company(ies) providing coverage shall have a rating by AM Best of at least A- and VI. <br /> Contractor may purchase a combination of primary policies at lower limits with the remaining limits <br /> provided for by an umbrella. <br /> THE CITY AGREES, <br /> 1. Payment for all services listed under Items a through j of section"The Engineer Agrees" of this <br /> AGREEMENT shall be based on time spent on each of the individual tasks in accordance <br /> with the following: <br /> A. A service charge, being the actual time each employee is engaged in the pursuance of the <br /> work charged in accordance with the attached 2003 "Schedule of Charges". This Schedule <br /> will be updated January 1. <br /> B. Reimbursement of direct expenses for items such as telephone tolls, sample analysis, <br /> equipment rental, printing or like direct costs incurred in the pursuance of the work at actual <br /> cost plus five percent. <br /> C. Transportation for all employees when engaged in the pursuance of the work at forty cents <br /> ($0.40) per mile. <br /> The total of our invoicing would be the aggregate of items "A", "B" & "C". <br /> We estimate the total cost will be $ 60,000.00 and will not exceed this amount without further <br /> authorization. <br /> IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED, <br /> 1. It shall be the ENGINEER's responsibility,when total monies due the ENGINEER approach <br /> a point near 50% of the total fee specified above, to review the work accomplished and make <br /> an estimate showing costs incurred and costs of services still required of the ENGINEER to <br /> complete his obligation. He shall do the same prior to when the total fees reach 90% of the <br /> maximum. If any ofthese estimates exceed the upper limit,the ENGINEER shall immediately <br /> submit the estimate to the CITY. The CITY shall review the estimate and promptly direct the <br /> ENGINEER to: <br /> a. Stop work at a logical point when monies due the ENGINEER are within the limit of <br /> total fee, or <br /> BGM 03-087 ENG AGREE - 3 <br />
