It is anticipated that this will occur during the
fall of 2003.
The intersection of Mound and Lourdes has recently had a study completed to determine if
traffic signals are warranted. Both the County and the City agree that several warrants have
been met and that signals may be warranted for this location. Both parties agree to further
study the location to determine if other remedial measures would be better suited for this
location at this time. Both parties agree to pursue funding for safety improvements at this
location and if funding should become available the monies will be applied to achieve the best-
engineered design available for the location. When improvements are made to the location the
local share of the project shall be paid on the basis of two-thirds of the expense to be covered by
the County and one-third of the expense by the City.
