During the performance of work under this AGREEMENT the ENGINEER, for <br /> himself, his assignees and successors in interest agrees to conform to the <br /> requirements of"Exhibit A—Equal Employment Opportunity" attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereo£ The words "CONTRACT" and "CONTRACTOR," in <br /> the exhibit shall be interpreted to mean"AGREEMENT" and"ENGINEER" I <br /> respectively. I <br /> THE CITY AGREES, , <br /> 1. To furnish the ENGINEER with all presently available survey data and <br /> information, including Standard Specifications adopted by the CITY and other <br /> available data useful to the work to be done by the ENGINEER. <br /> 2. To pay the ENGINEER as compensation for all services rendered in accordance <br /> with Section 1 (exclusive of the cost of subsurface explorations as noted in sub- <br /> section 1 c and the cost of additional Contract Documents as noted in sub-section <br /> lf under THE ENGINEER AGREES of this AGREEMENT), a lump sum fee of <br /> $38,000 as payment in full for the work specified above. <br /> 3. To pay the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with subsections 1 c <br /> and 1 g; Section 5 (Changes); and/or Section 13 (Termination) under THE <br /> ENGINEER AGREES of the AGREEMENT, the technical payroll cost of <br /> performing such work times a multiplier of 2.0 to cover overhead, profit, and <br /> readiness to serve. Direct expenses, for items such as aerial surveys, telephone <br /> tolls, stakes, iron pins, monuments, flagging, blue prints, and electronic computer <br /> shall be reimbursed at actual cost. Necessary vehicles shall be reimbursed at <br /> $0.30 per mile. "Technical payroll cost" is defined as salary cost plus (but not <br /> limited to) insurance, social security, vacation allowance, and retirement costs. <br /> Subject to the approval of the CITY, engineer may subcontract any necessary test <br /> boring or subsurface exploration services to be rendered in accordance with <br /> Section 1 c under THE ENGINEER AGREES and the CITY will pay the cost to <br /> the ENGINEER plus 3% for office handling. <br /> 4. That payment to the ENGINEER for services rendered in accordance with Section <br /> 2 of THE CITY AGREES of this AGREEMENT will be made monthly by partial <br /> payments based upon percentage of total work accomplished, assuming the <br /> following division of the work under the various parts of Section 1 of THE <br /> ENGINEER AGREES: <br /> Subsection Portion of Total Work <br /> 1 a (Surveys) 28% <br /> lb-lg (plans, Spec's, etc.) 70% <br /> lh(Bid Assistance) 2% <br />
