B gg, lanning &Eco m� elopment Manage� <br /> SUBJECT: Staging Area Agreement-Wabash Crossing Phase One <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached agreement <br /> with East Lake / Decatur LLC to provide a contractor's staging area for the Wabash Crossing <br /> proj ect. <br /> BACKGROUND: As part of the overall Wabash Crossing construction project, the general <br /> contractor and housing contractor will require a parcel on which to store materials, equipment <br /> and temporary offices in order to complete the project. East Lake/Decatur LLC has requested a <br /> single parcel to house both the general contractor and the housing contractor. <br /> As shown in the attached agreement, staff has provided for the site to be secured and <br /> appropriately maintained by East Lake / Decatur LLC. Provisions have also been made for the <br /> restoration of the site to its original condition and to hold the City of Decatur harmless for bodily <br /> injury and property damage that may occur as a result of the project. The attached plat shows the <br /> location of the staging area at the southern edge of the Phase I redevelopment area. The City of <br /> Decatur reserves the right to terminate the use of the property for non-conformance with the <br /> agreement. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections have been received. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Dane Bragg at 424-2725 <br /> or e-mail: dbrag�(cr�,decaturnet.org. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None. <br />
