'S
.
First Transit, Inc.
705 Central Avenue, Suite 300
June 3, 203 Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
Tel 513-241-2200 (reception)
Mr. Paul McChancy Fax 513-381-0149
Mass Transit Administrator
Decatur Public Transit System
555 East Wood Street
Decatur, IL 62523
Dear Mr. McChancy:
It was a pleasure speaking with you today regarding your current contract with
CoachUSA/Progressive and the request by Coach to assign that agreement to First Transit.
As you know First Transit has reached an agreement with Coach to buy its public transit
contracts. Part of this process requires that customers authorize the assignment of the contract to
First Transit. Understandably, the City of Decatur needs assurances that the services that you
have enjoyed from Coach will continue under First Transit.
I am pleased to assure to you that the services, personnel, and operational support that you
receive from Coach will be continued by First Transit. Specifically:
1. Mr. Dick Foiles will remain as the Resident Manager assigned to your contract.
2. All provisions of the current contract will be honored by First Transit, this includes the
management fee.
3. We will maintain the private employment relationship of the employees.
4. The labor union will be recognized and the current labor agreement will be honored.
5. First Transit will provide a Region Vice President to serve as a corporate liaison with
you. We are proposing that Mr.Dennis Jensen, a 28-year veteran of our company and
the current RVP for our customers in Peoria and Davenport be assigned to Decatur.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at 513-684-8734. We will
have Dennis contact you in the near future to begin the transition process. Thank you for you
cooperation. We look forward to working with Decatur in the future.
Sin ly,

Richard unning
Senior Vice President
Transit Management Services
A FirstGraup America`;Company ,
