• , , � ' . , <br /> AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES <br /> FOR THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> KAYDON DRIVE- RELIEF SEWER <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this � day of �'�"`/2003, by and <br /> between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, heremafter referre o as the "CITY," and <br /> BAINBRIDGE, GEE, MILANSKI & ASSOCIATES, INC., 167 South Taylorville Road, <br /> Decatur, Illinois 62521, hereinafter referred to as the "ENGINEER," covers professional <br /> engineering services in connection with the preparation of detailed plans and specifications hereinafter <br /> referred to as the "PROJECT". <br /> Said Project has been designated CITY PROJECT ��`� Y and includes the design of a relief <br /> sewer connecting an e�usting eight inch sewer on Kaydon Drive with an e�sting fifteen inch sewer <br /> on the opposite side of the CNIC RR right of way which parallels Kaydon Drive. The purpose of the <br /> relief sewer is to direct flow from the eight inch sewer and avoid basement backups and sewer <br /> overflows during wet weather. <br /> THEREFORE, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants herein set forth: <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1. Project Engineering Services - To perform or be responsible for the performance of the <br /> following professional engineering services for the OWNER in connection with the design <br /> of the proposed projects hereinbefore described: <br /> a. Make such detailed surveys as are necessary for the preparation of detailed <br /> construction plans. <br /> b. Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications in such a manner as <br /> to permit the OWNER to obtain construction bid prices for the above <br /> described PROJECT. <br /> c. Prepare proposal forms, notice to bidders, and the Contract Documents. <br /> d. Prepare estimate of project construction cost based on final plans and <br /> documents. <br /> e. Furnish copies of the Contract Documents consisting of Construction <br /> Agreement Forms, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Detailed <br /> Construction Plans and Specifications for review by the Owner, and for <br /> submission to permitting authorities. <br /> f. Incorporate OWNER's review comments into the final set of contract <br /> documents. <br /> BGM ENG AGREE 1 <br />
