Perry,Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Replace track segments and rollers for clarifier/basin at South Water Treatment <br /> Plant <br /> SUMMARY RECONIlVIENDATION: Staff recommends awazding contract to Christy-Foltz <br /> to replace the segments and supports, horizontal rollers, vertical rollers and assembly rollers. <br /> BACKGROUND: These new track, rollers, segments, etc. were approved for purchase by the <br /> City Council in September 2002. They were manufactured by Omdeo Degremont, and have been <br /> delivered to the South Water Treatment Plant. <br /> Christy-Foltz will remove the old tracks and rollers and replace them with the new ones. They <br /> i have provided the City with necessary bonding requirements. <br /> There are four clarifiers/basins with rollers at the South Water Treatment Plant. One set was <br /> previously replaced in September of 2001. The Water Production Maintenance Supervisor <br /> anticipates the remaining tracks and rollers will be replaced over the next two years as capital <br /> projects. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Water Management staff requested the installation of the <br /> tracks and rollers and they recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Rob Shirley, Water Production Manager 424-2866, Keith Alexander, <br /> Director of Water Management 424-2863 will be at the council meeting to answer questions the <br /> council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $33,458 from Water Capital Fund. <br />
