While the bus lift can be used <br /> for any style of bus, the bus lift is required for the low-floor buses because of their <br /> lower ground clearance. The standard floor jacks will not work on the low-floor <br /> buses. Installing the bus lift will allow the maintenance department to do mo�e <br /> types of repairs than they are now able to do, and will eliminate the need to tow <br /> buses to an outside shop for repairs. <br /> 11.44.02 Rehab/Renovate Maintenance Facility($ 70,000): replace all bus barn overhead <br /> doors and motors. <br /> The bus barn is over 20 years old, and the overhead doors and motors need to be <br /> replaced. The City paid over $8,000 in FY-01 and FY-02 for service and repairs <br /> to these doors.
