FY 03/04 CDBG <br /> SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered this 13th day of June , 2003 by and between the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois (herein called the "City") and Adult Education Center <br /> (herein called the "Subrecipient"). <br /> WHEREAS, the Grantee has applied for and received funds from the United States Government <br /> the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") under Title I of the Housing <br /> and Community Development Act of 1974, Public Law 93-383; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage the Subrecipient to assist the City in utilizing such funds I <br /> in accordance with HUD guidelines and Federal regulations; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties hereto that; <br /> I. STATEMENT OF WORK: <br /> A. Activities: <br /> The Subrecipient will be responsible for administering a CDBG Year 2003-2004 The <br /> Gettin� SET (Skills, Education, & Trainin�) for Work Program in a manner <br /> satisfactory to the City and consistent with any standards required as a condition of <br /> providing these funds. Such program will include the following activities eligible <br /> under the Community Development Block Grant Program: <br /> Program Delivery <br /> Activity#1 <br /> Provide a new service componet, Workforce Skills, along with classroom instructions <br /> of five (5) G.E.D. curriculum courses (math, science, social studies, language arts, <br /> and writing). The new service will enhance job readiness and occupational training to <br /> low and moderate income at risk youth and adults. Assessments will be given to <br /> identify participant's job interests, skills, and values. Job search techniques, resume <br /> writing, and building interviewing skills will be provide to each participant. <br /> General Administration <br /> The Program Director will be responsible for administering and overseeing the day- <br /> to-day operations of the program. All bookkeeping matters will be handled by the <br /> secretary/booker. Program Assistants will facilitate the instructional components of <br /> the program. <br /> Subrecipient Agreement(Rev.
