Berard, Civil Engineer II ��;�� <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Vulcan West Gravel Pit Water Supply Improvements <br /> City Project CP 2002-07 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing a fee adjustment to the Vulcan West Gravel <br /> Pit Water Supply Improvements Engineering Services Agreement with Bainbridge, Gee, <br /> Milanski &Associates, Inc. (BGM)not to exceed $12,000. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On April l, 2002, Council authorized the Vulcan West Gravel Pit Water Supply Improvements <br /> Engineering Services Agreement with BGM at a cost not to exceed $28,500. The improvements <br /> consist of a water pump and floating platform to be installed by mid 2003. BGM and City staff <br /> have determined that additional engineering expenses not to exceed $12,000 are required to <br /> complete the proj ect. The additional services are: 1) a hydrographic survey of the gravel pit to <br /> determine the pit's capacity and identify the optimum location for the pump and 2) a detailed <br /> investigation to determine the physical condition and hydraulic capabilities of the water <br /> transmission pipeline from the gravel pit to the South Water Plant. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None foreseen. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski &Associates, Inc. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> Keith D.
