Anderson Pfaza Decatur, Illinois 62523 RE: CITY OF DECATUR Mound Road/Route 51 Intersection Design Study ENGINEERING SERVICES PROPOSAL Dear Matt: This letter is written in response to the City of Decatu�s request for a proposal to provide surveying and engineering services necessary for the preparation of an intersection Design Study (IDS) for the intersection of Mound Road and U.S. 51. Based on information provided at our meeting on October 22, 2002, we understand the City of Decatur will provide: • Current and projected traffic data • Existing roadway drawings Blank, Wesselink, Cook 8� Associates (BWC) will provide the foilowing services: • Distribute the projected traffic over the various lanes • Provide design survey services • Prepare intersection design study for the intersection of Mound Road and U.S. Route 51 Contrac� plans will be prepared after the Intersection Design Study has been approved by the City of Decatur and I(linois Department of Transportation. Manhours for contract plans will be negotiated at that time_ Attached as Enclosure (1) is BWC's Project Plan outlining a detailed description of the services to be provided by BWC_ BWC proposes compensation for this work on a `Technical Payroll Cost Times a Factor Plus Direct Reirnbursable Expenses Times a Multiplie�' basis with a technical payroll factor of 2.11 and a direct reimbursable expense multiplier of 1.10.
